Naari Living Technologies LLP ("we", "us", "our"), a Limited Liability Partnership registered under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008, and based in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India, operates Naari Companion — an AI chat companion app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights over it, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA).
We process your information only for lawful purposes, with your consent, to: create and secure your account; generate Naari's replies and remember context you've shared; process payments for Naari Plus; send login codes and service notifications; and improve the product. If you also use CookSorted or LookSorted (also by Naari Living Technologies) with the same phone number or email, your account may be linked across these apps so Naari can draw on relevant context you've already shared — you can see and edit what's stored at any time.
Some of what you tell Naari — for example, health or family details — is treated as sensitive and stored with extra care. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share sensitive details with advertisers.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with essential service providers who help us run the app: our AI provider (for generating Naari's replies), payment processors (Razorpay/PayU/Stripe, and — as we roll out more payment options — PhonePe, Apple Pay, and Google Pay), SMS/email delivery providers (for OTP login codes), and notification services — and only as needed for them to provide that service to us.
We use encryption during transmission, access controls, and regular security assessments to protect your data. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Raw conversation text is kept for a limited window (currently 90 days) and then deleted — what Naari has learned and remembers about you (your "Naari remembers" items) is kept separately and for as long as your account is active, since that's the useful long-term substrate rather than the verbatim conversation. Account data overall is retained for as long as your account is active, and for 3 years after deletion for legal/dispute purposes. Payment records are retained for 7 years per Indian tax regulations. You can optionally choose, in your profile, to let us use anonymized examples of your conversations to understand what people use Naari Companion for and improve the product. This is off by default, and you can turn it off at any time.
You may access your data, request corrections, request deletion, withdraw consent, and edit or delete any "Naari remembers" item directly in the app at any time. You may also file a grievance with our Grievance Officer (see below).
Naari Companion is intended for users aged 18 and over. If we learn we've collected data from a minor, we will delete it.
